Well it has been a while since I have written on here, and the world is a vastly different place than it was in August. I am currently 33 weeks pregnant; I was laid off from my full time job about a month ago, as an early childhood educator in Alberta, Canada; and though my husband and I have managed to stay perfectly healthy during our time of isolation together, our worlds and expectations of life have had to shift dramatically.

I am sure anyone reading this, or really anyone anywhere in the world, can relate on similar or different levels. The entire world has shifted in 2020 as we rise together to fight the coronavirus that is infecting millions and killing hundreds of thousands. Each individual's duty in this fight is simple: stay home and keep your distance, and of course, wash your hands.

If we all do our part, we can get ahead of this. This I firmly believe. I also believe that the world will never be the same again, but that is not necessarily a negative thing. There are going to be many things that are going to look very different as we progress through this year and into the following years to come.

All of this, and anything else you may read or hear about, can be EXTREMELY overwhelming. I get this. I have those feelings on the regular as well. But I can assure you, taking things one literal day at a time, can make a difference. It is so easy to get caught up in planning for the future, or reflecting on the past, but the true reality is that we can not change either of those things. We can not control either of those things.

What we can control is this:

Our breath.

Our presence in this very moment.

I am offering daily 20 minute gentle movement and meditation classes on Zoom; please join me there for a lunch break check in at noon every Monday through Friday until this tiny human growing inside of me decides to join us in the physical world (estimated arrival: June 1). Email me or for the password or simply to connect. I am here for any virtual supports you or loved ones may need at this time. We are all in this together. Join Zoom Meeting:

until then, be well, and remember to just breathe,
